C48 boxes are the global standard for packing in the tobacco industry (threshed lamina, full-leaf, cut-rag, and stems). Box dimensions are standardized worldwide for 100% volume utilization inside 40ft ocean containers.
"C48 is widely recognized as the strongest box produced globally in such large mass quantities." Typically, ~200Kg of threshed tobacco lamina is packed in each C48 box and stacked 5 to 6 boxes high in high-sea, humid freight conditions.
Common grades produced at JFPPL include C48 IB, C48 AC ND, and C48 BC. All boxes are manufactured using rust-proof stitching wire and 48-hour water-resistant adhesives.
C96 boxes share the exact length and width of the C48 box, but feature half the height.
Designed to accommodate ~100Kg of produce, C96 cartons are chosen for logistics facilities where manual handling of packed cartons is required.
